  • GRABEK (Wojciech Grabek) is one of the most interesting figures of Poznan young alternative stage. He calls himself “the absolute ruler of his own music”, is a multi-instrumentalist and composer. He experiments, combining playing a classical instrument - the violin - with electronic music. As he claims himself, he began his musical education unconsciously, when at the age of two listened on the radio to Henryk Mikołaj Górecki’s pieces. His works combine different inspirations, sounds and moods: acoustic sounds of instruments engage in a natural dialogue with synthesizers, rendering the rhythm of contemporary times in which live music coexists with machine mode of expression. The recently released, second record in Grabek’s career, entitled Duality, interweaves happiness with sadness, energy with melancholy, dance with reflection. According to him, the group of artists-masters who create groundbreaking music includes: Thom York, Amon Tobin, Burial and Björk. Grabek performed at many festivals of electronic music and new media art, while his debut album 8 received the “Best Recording 2011” award from High Fidelity magazine and was nominated to Fryderyk 2012 music award in the category “Album of the Year Electronic Music”.

The visual setting for the concert was prepared by Vj Jago – the Poznań-based visual artist, video designer and producer. Her sets are based on her original video materials. Guest performance by Maja Koman.
