  • The show Exercise for Choreography of Attention “Point of no Return” is a joint work of the choreographer and the visual artist, Siniša Ilić - an experiment and a voice in the debate on the definition of choreographic practice, which is getting ever broader. During the development of the show the traditional roles of a dancer and choreographer were given a new context: Dalija suggested work framework and generated specific (choreographic) tasks which Siniša (like a dancer improvising an assigned topic) used in order to create the visual material. Editing it together, they gradually composed the choreography.

The same principle governed the process of editing and making the graphic design: texts and pictures made during the collaboration were collected in a book. The show itself takes place on two planes: an individual plane between a reader and a book (during the show part of the audience reads a book) and the readers’ collective action in the theatrical space. The project proposes a new perspective on choreography - as an attempt to control the attention (appearing in the title of the show) of the audience by arbitrary decisions of the show creators, represented by texts and images collected in the book. At the same time, the show invites to freely “join the dots” in order to make a whole and create individual performances.
