  • I Want (no) Reality is a lively recording of Ana Brzezińska’s meeting with artists who assumed an uncompromising creative attitude in life. The hero of the director’s film debut is the international theatre group Needcompany - one of the most popular avant-garde groups which changes the face of European theatre and dance. Its founder and art director is a Belgian director and visual artist, Jan Lauwers. The interdisciplinary group run by him, has for 27 years been telling moving and full of passion stories about people, revolutionizing the standards of contemporary art. The film shows that more than only artistic competence lies behind the success of Needcompany. I WANT (NO) REALITY is an extreme story telling that without love and courage to overcome patterns imposed by reality, all we do remains fruitless.

  • ANA BRZEZIŃSKA is a director and video works creator. She graduated in drama direction from the State Drama School in Cracow.
