The starting point for the discussion with Romeo Castellucci - one of the most important theatre artists at the turn of the 20th century – will be a screening of BR.#4 play from the Tragedia Endogonidia cycle (2002-2004). It was an attempt to write Greek tragedy into the frames of the contemporary world. The cycle consisted of 11 episodes realised in various European cities. BR.#4 was recorded in Brussels, a city where the European Parliament operates – a capital city of the European law. In the play, law is a mechanism that bends the society to its own will, and functions automatically regardless of humans caught up in its gears. Just as a machine.
The meeting will be opened to all interested parties.

The meeting will be chaired by Dorota Semenowicz, author of the ‘This is not an image’ book devoted to the work of Romeo Castellucci, literary research specialist at the National Theatre and worker of the programme department of Malta Festival Poznań.
