Alicja is an outdoor production of Lewis Carroll’s Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. We are transported into the girl’s dream not by one rabbit, as in the novel, but by a whole bunch of animals on bicycles of various sizes. Zuzanna Kubiak writes in the show’s review: “Noisy, hilarious animals were equipped with a whole collection of different stories as if, in addition to this story, they could offer us many more. The tiny heroine of the show had to confront various obstacles, out of which three monumental mushrooms impressed me most. A bit psychedelic mushrooms, purple lit, were not the only attraction of the show. Characters on stilts and huge structures typical of outdoor theatres appeared there too. The show ends, of course, with the heroine’s fight against the Queen of Hearts and her retinue. The show did not lack in smoke, music, splendid costumes and props and even sparklers.”
Teatr Fuzja is a Poznań-based alternative theatre formed in 2006. Its leaders and founders are the directors and actors – Anna and Tomasz Rozmianiec. The theatre’s repertoire includes their original shows as well as shows inspired by literature: Foremka (2007), Sen Wahazara based on Stanisław Witkiewicz’s book (2008), Clowny trzy (2008), Król Dawid based on Helmut Kajzar’s drama (2010), Pani Koch based on Miron Białoszewski’s drama (2011). Since 2008, the theatre has also been making outdoor shows, Cafestrada (2008), Dywidenda (2010), Alicja (2012), relying on image, movement and dynamic stage design. Teatr Fuzja is one of the founders of Spółdzielnia Teatralna, participating proactively in the organisation’s all projects. They prepare together Festiwal Teatrów Zależnych (Festival of Dependent Theatres), produce and present shows at festivals in Poland and abroad.
