  • The second part of Silent Malta 2013 will be MPO – Miejska Powieść Odcinkowa [City Novel in Instalments] – the project of Krzysztof Warlikowski’s Nowy Teatr produced together with the Channel 3 of the Polish Radio. Originally, MPO was a novel in ten instalments. We prepared a mini novel for Malta Festival Poznań consisting of 5 instalments, each of which was written by a different author, making references to a specific city. The writers shared consecutive episodes and on their basis wrote their own parts. It is a kind of literature-based city game which in its original version was accompanied by the distribution of a comic strip in some cities. The first and last instalment was created by prose writers: Sylwia Chutnik and Bartosz Żurawiecki (Warsaw and Poznań, where the authors come from, are the link). The middle instalments were the responsibility of playwrights who test their abilities in prose: Tomasz Man, Małgorzata Sikorska-Miszczuk and Krzysztof Bizio (Wrocław, Warsaw, Szczecin). The author of the idea is Piotr Gruszczyński - the dramaturge of Nowy Teatr. Barbara Marcinik and Andrzej Brzoska are responsible for production. Wojciech Dobrosz is the publisher. Performed by the actors of Teatr Nowy.

    conductor: Baszka Marciniki.

guests: Andrzej Brzoska, Andrzej Chyra, Tomasz Man, Małgorzata Sikorska-Miszczuk
