  • On Orientations | Untimely Encounters bada różne rejestry percepcji, orientacji w przestrzeni, relacji między ciałem, pragnieniem i miejscem, ich wzajemne oddziaływanie. Projekt składa się z dwóch części. Pierwsza funkcjonuje jako instalacja – sensualna i audiowizualna przestrzeń, w której widzowie znajdują punkty orientacyjne i są poddawani procesowi umiejscawiania. Podstawą części drugiej jest działanie solowe wzbogacane spotkaniami z każdorazowo zapraszanymi artystami-gośćmi, co pozwala na refleksję nad zagadnieniami jednostki w jej relacjach z innymi. Koncentruje się na relacjach pomiędzy procesami somatycznymi, strategiami choreograficzno-kompozytorskimi i subtelnej grze z elementami przestrzeni, w której odbywa się spektakl. On Orientations jest interwencją-performansem dedykowaną konkretnemu miejscu i kontekstowi. Untimely Encounters bada pojęcia jednoczesności, oraz dyslokacji w odbieraniu czasoprzestrzeni i stanowi wstępną refleksję nad różnymi koncepcjami dotyku.

  • An Kaler studied Transmedia Art at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. Her artistic practice includes dance, performance and visual arts. In 2010 she graduated in the pilot programme Contemporary Dance, Context, Choreography of BA studies at Inter-University Centre for Dance of the Berlin University of Arts. In the same year she presented her solo work Save a horse ride a cowboy during Tanztage festival in Berlin and Imagetanz at brut in Vienna. During the creative and physical work on Insignificant Others, distributed over a few years, An Kaler in cooperation with other artists created two shows: Untitled Stills (2010) and (learning to look sideways) (2011/12). The On Orientations project is the continuation of her previous research. In 2012 she received a grant from the Contemporary Art Society in Berlin. She performed with such artists as Philipp Gehmacher, Isabelle Schad and Laurente Chétouane.
