This, one of the biggest concert and entertainment halls in Poznań featured shows of the greatest stars of Malta Festival Poznań. The hall with the top-class sound equipment allowed the moving show of an Italian artist, Pippo Delbono, entitled After the Battle to ring out. In Aula Artis the Belgian visual artist, Jan Fabre, presented his show Prometheus Landscape II in which he analysed in a radial way the myth of Prometheus and asked about the man’s freedom. Disgrace, the show of a Hungarian director, Kornél Mundruczó, based on John Maxwell Coetzee’s novel, was also a momentous event.
The hall is located in the building of the School of Humanities and Journalism in Poznań. In addition to its teaching-related function, it is the venue of bold cultural and art projects, international scientific conferences and meetings with representatives of science, culture, politics and media. Inspiring and supporting cultural initiatives in Poznań constitutes an important part of Aula Artis’ operations.
